Hi Daddy,
I read a news article, which says
“Pope Francis declared evolution and Big Bang theory are real
and God is not 'a magician with a magic wand.’”
What do you think about this?
Hi Esther,
I have many things to say about this matter
but let me say some of them this time.
Pope said, "God is not a magician with a magic wand."
Of course not. God is not a magician. God is almighty.
Christians do not believe magic.
Actually those who believe magic are evolutionists and Big Bang theorists.
The descrptions of God's creation in the Bible may look magic to people.
But it is only because we do not understand God's power.
For example, do you remember the drawing on the card
that you and Maria gave me on the Father's Day?
When I see your drawing, it looks to me like a magic.
I wonder how you draw such a beautiful picture.
But it is not a magic. It is out of your skills.
To those who are never able to draw a picture like that,
it is still a magic.
How much would God's creation works be so to us?
All the creations are God's mighty works, not magical works.
Think about this.
You open the Word Program and type 'a'.
Then you will see that alphabet 'a' appears on the screen.
This is quite 'natural.'
We never doubt that it would happen.
But it is not natural at all.
When you type 'a' on the keyboard,
there are many complicated processes running inside the computer.
The keyboard senses the pressing of a certain key
and sends the signal to the main computer,
and the computer processes the signal,
and formats the shape to be displayed with size, color, font, etc.,
and sends the format to the kit in charge of display, and so on and on ...
Then finally you see that 'a' appears on the screen.
But you don't know what has happen inside the computer.
You just think that 'a' appaered on the screen because you typed it. But it is not.
Somebody already did extremely complicated works for you
so that you don't have to worry about them.
What we see in the world are all "miracles."
And the miracles didn't happen magically or by accident.
They happened through God's elaborate works.
Biologically, Esther's body is a wonder.
But your body did not happen by accident.
All of your biological features have already coded in you (genetic code).
Your physical development just follows the code.
What I am saying is that every being is the outcome of God's meticulous design and work.
No one can make this except God.
Human science and technology cannot make even a mosquito.
They cannot make even a tiny hair on the back of your finger.
Everything that we see is a miracle that only God can do.
We should not say it is not a miracle
only because it happens regularly or to everybody.
Even if it happens every day, it is still a miracle.
The sunrise is a miracle.
The moon turning around the earth is a miracle.
The four seasons and ripening fruits are miracles.
In Luke 17:11-19 is a story about 10 lepers.
Jesus healed all of them.
But only one of them came back and gave thanks to Jesus and glorified God.
Why didn't the other nine come and give thanks?
It is probably because they were all received the same grace
and therefore they felt less thankful.
Each of us received God's miraculous graces
including our bodies and many blessings.
They are not something natural.
They are all God's "special" graces to you, even if everybody has it.
Heb 6:7-8 says, "Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and
that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.
But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed.
In the end it will be burned.”
God gave His “special” grace to everybody
But the grace is “special” to only those who appreciate the “specialness" of the grace.
Esther,
“God is not a magician” but not as the Pope meant.
God is Almighty God. He can do whatever he wants to do and in his way.
In fact, evolutionists and Big Bang theorists believe magic.
They think that things and lives may happen if a long time is given.
It is not. Things happen not as time passes, but as God works.
It can happen overnight if God works.
Without God’s works, nothing happens even if trillions of trillions of years have passed.
Esther,
Don’t be deceived by such a “sweet” word of such a “sweet” people.
They do so only to flatter and to be flattered.
Go outside, look up the sky, and count the stars.
